The first car to venture across the state line from Massachusetts to Vermont was the Parlor Car Berkshire Hills posing here for a group photo at the State Line on June 7 1907. The line connected at Bennington VT with the Bennington and Hoosac Falls which operated into New York for about 10 years. Notice the gent with his foot on the rail wearing white shoes.
