Birney Car 2837 was renumbered from 837 after the PCC cars assumed the 800 series in 1947.
It was one of four such cars to get renumbered and the only one to receive the new paint scheme. It is shown here on the Woodward shuttle line at the Brighton end of the line, the transfer point to and from the 4 North Bessemer line on March 16 1949
2837 was the last Birmingham Birney in operation.
