AA77 in the 77th Station
Ed Rothe writes: When I was 10-12 years old, we lived near the carhouses at 77th and Vincennes. Out behind was a large lot which was fenced off and used as a "streetcar graveyard".
The lot backed up to a wooded area where there were places us kids could scramble under the fence to play hide and seek with the watchmen amoung the cars and other parked equipment.
There were several tracks full of these old streetcars we played in, with plenty of weeds growing up between and around them.
