1807 was a Hartford car all its life. But this photo was probably taken on the Bridgeport Division in Fairfield, at the end of the B-1 line at Ash Creek, the end of double track after which the Norwalk cars continued on to Westport and Norwalk. The dash sign on the car is Bridgeport-style, and B-1 would have been the Ash Creek route (I think B cars turned back at Ellsworth Ave). The 1800s in Bridgeport were 1832-1855 originally, but 1832 went to Hartford around 1930, and 1833, 1834, 1838 and 1843 went to New Haven around 1934. If a 7 is visible as the last digit of the car number, its either 1837 or 1847, both of which went on to CR&L. The front roll sign looks as though it starts with FA and ends with D which makes it pretty certain its FAIRFIELD.
