766 westbound on Independence Ave near the Capitol. At the time they were constructing the latest and largest House Office Building. Capital Transit opened this line 1940. After that, Route 30 cars left their old route at 7th and Pennsylvania, went down 7th to Independence and then went east on Independence to rejoin the old route at the bottom of Capitol Hill.
