First on street run of Detroit's *third* municipal streetcar operation on December 13 2016. Brookville car 289 operating under its internal battery power at Woodward and Congress.
Worth noting is that Detroit has followed Kansas City's and Cincinnati's lead, and started numbering their cars in sequence after the previous PCC car purchases in those cities from the 1940s.
