April 8 1956, the LAST day of DSR streetcars. The Woodward line was bused in the early AM hours. Later in the day a 24 PCC parade up and down Woodward observed the last streetcars in Detroit....at the time, notwithstanding the heritage line downtown or the M-1 Rail.
