The summary is -- 287 sat in the pocket charging for approximately 20 minutes. There is no passing track or crossover -- all cars have to wait for the car charging to complete its top-off before proceeding southbound. Thus the reason for no southbound service for 35 minutes from 1230-1PM. The good news is that the 53 Woodward bus headway is such that one can frequently get a ride downtown, although the bus operates a couple blocks parallel to Woodward south of I-75 on weekdays.

BOTTOM LINE: The limitation with battery cars is that they have to charge. This line needs another charge bar at Grand Blvd Station.
