Looking east as Iowa Terminal 102 (former CNS&M 727) is heading back to Emery. Ed Allen was a stickler for detail. The car is running as a extra with white flags on the front and red flags on the rear. You may have noticed a headlight on both ends of the car. Real North Shore practice was to issue the motorman a single headlight I am told. If he had to change direction he would lug it to the other end. On IAT having one on each end saved some work. From the motormans position, you could select ON/OFF and bright/dim by using the snap switches.
