This is a scene taken just after the first Highliner (1502) was delivered from St Louis Car to the IC Woodcrest Shop on March 31 1971. The second Highliner 1501 came about two weeks later. By that time, 1502 had been tested by itself on the back part of the Washington Park trackage near Woodcrest and then on the main line south of Homewood.
