Ex-Chicago Surface Lines 4001 is an all-aluminum experimental pre-PCC car built in 1934 by Pullman-Standard, shown here on September 20 2003.
Only one example of this type was ever built. 4001 ran until 1948, when it was retired and made into a yard shop.
