411 on the way to Ferndale is getting ready to turn left onto Strayer St at the top of Chandler Ave on the Morrellville Line. The car is stopped is near the former Clark's Dairy Store.
This is the car stop that I used to use when I was a boy. This was a popular stop because anyone that needed to go to Oakhurst from here would have to get a transfer and take the bus.
The bus usually parked on Strayer St to the right of this picture. The only time that a car went to Oakhurst was at about 6AM when a special double-end car went up to the end of the line and then came back.
It was used to pick up the workers who worked in Bethlehem Steel who were going for the 7AM shift. I lived on Strayer St and from my house as a boy could see all of the action.
