759 inbound leading a two car train on Venice Blvd at Culver Junction.

The Mission style building is the substation which still stands and has been restored as a commuity center. The tracks in the foreground go to Culver City, Ballona wetlands (today Marina del Rey), and Hermosa Beach.

Passenger service on that branch was abandoned about 1940, but the "butterfly" paint on the Hollywood cars indicate that this picture is after 1940, but before 1951 (when car 759 was sold to Argentina and the Venice line abandoned.)
