I won't argue with Bob McVay, but from March 31 1931 until abandonment on December 5 1948, the B line ran on Main, not Spring.
These two-man cars which we see as retaining the single front door and older color scheme would not survive the 1940s.
Some of the other cars (known as Standards in LA parlance, although they were really type B cars) were made into one-man cars with treadle operated rear doors and the fruit salad paint scheme.
