635 at Vermont and Florence on July 5 1947. This is the end of the U line. The F continued on from here.
The tracks curving to the right are those of the F line, which will cross Florence and take the diagonal private right-of-way over to Hoover St.
In less than a month, those F line tracks will be abandoned, the U line will be abandoned, and the F will take over the Vermont Ave. portion of the U line service.
Looks like somebody forgot to change poles. The crossover that the U line uses is out of the photo to the right.
