This is near the (former) SP Central Station (actually, a depot). Notice the overhead of the line crossing here.
PE hung catenary because box motors and RPOs used 7th St to run from the surface tracks (express and mail) behind the 6th and Main PE building (under the elevated) to the 4 tracks via 8th St Yard.
One of the few places where LARy/LATL cars ran under catenary, for 7th St. was dual gauge at this time and was also used by its J and R cars.
