886 on the V line northbound at Vermont and 5th in 1946.
In the background, the car going the other direction is an S car, and in the background can be seen a PCC on the R line turning from 6th St. onto Vermont.
On Vermont, the R line ran from 6th to 3rd, the S line ran from 7th to 3rd. Seventh St is not the next street after 6th. Famed Wilshire Blvd. is between the two.
At one time, the Los Angeles Motor Coach (jointly owned by LARy and PERy) Wilshire Blvd. bus route (82) was the heaviest surface transportation route in the country (hard as that may be to believe).
