2501 on a fantrip on Vermont just south of Florence on February 16 1947. I was only ten on this date, so I wasn't on the trip.
The standard in the background, in LARy colors, is a U car, which will turn back at the crossover ahead of it. Until August of 1947, service south of here on Vermont was provided by the F line.
After the August 1947 abandonments (which included the U line), the F line was shifted off the abandoned Hoover St trackage parallel to and two blocks to the east (right) of here.
Instead the line operated on Vermont all the way from Santa Barbara Ave (~40th St) to 116th, where if ended facing the Pacific Electric crossing at right angles.
