3092 on the V line at Monroe and New Hampshire. The imposing white building off the right side of the car is a part of the Music Department of Los Angeles City College. The large brick building in the background, across Vermont Ave, were apartments. By the time this photo was taken (~1958), they were occupied primarily by students at Chapman College, which itself was to the right of the photo and across Vermont Ave. Connections were made here with busses that ran to Griffith Park Observatory and Griffith Park Zoo via Los Feliz Blvd, using Los Angeles Motor Coach line 86.
