3165 on Pacific Boulevard in 1958. 3165 was the highest number passenger car on the system. These modern, post-war, all-electric PCCs never operated on any line other than the P until the very last day of narrow gauge streetcar service in Los Angeles. This car is operating on the J line, on the way to South Gate, and has just passed Vernon Yard. It is operating on a fantrip run by my organization (at the time), the Electric Railway Historical Association of Southern California.
