Lake Shore Electric
The wreck of L.S.E. Niles
Car No. 152 just west of Vermilion, Ohio on August 4, 1906. Three people
were killed; Wilbur Moody, the motorman, and passengers Frederick Smiley,
and James Yerrick. Early the following December another passenger, Andrew
Ingrun of Pittsburg, died of injuries he received in the collision. What
you can't see in this particular photograph is the fact that nearly 2/3's
of the Niles car collapsed in the accident. It is visible from the other
side.
