According to Randy Kulp's history of the Liberty Bell Route's 1000 Series Interurban Cars (p. 43), car 1030 was in service during Allentown Fair Week beginning Sept. 14, 1941 between the Fair Grounds and 8th and St. John Sts., as a promotion of this recently acquired, newly refurbished car. This photo shows car 1030 performing in that capacity, southbound on N. 17th St. with Allentown Hospital in the background. This car is preserved at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine.
