Minnesota Central Railways
Northern Illinois Division The cars were built by Barney & Smith for the Lake Shore Electric in the 1890's, and when that line folded in the 1930's, Minnesota Central bought the cars, installed pans as well as poles, and reconfigured the interiors.  Although not visible in this picture, the cars ride on Baldwin 8440 trucks purchased from the North Shore Line when it was abandoned in 1963, as the original B&S Type F trucks were worn out.
