An 800 series car on Rt 17 - Walnut-Lisbon is laying over on N Cass St on the west side of the C&NW RR Station on the lakefront. The street in the background with the cars is E Wisconsin Ave. Streetcar Rts 12 and 23 also laid over here. In later years their diesel bus replacements did the same. Buses heading downtown carried the destination sign: "N.W.Depot." Today (2015) they have the simple destination: "Downtown."
