Car 983 at S Howell Ave and W Howard Ave at the south end of Rt 11 Vliet-Howell in the mid-1950's. The tire store is still there today (2015). This area was the town of Tippecanoe, a section of the old Town of Lake. Today the Tippecanoe Branch of the Milwaukee Public Library occupies the SE corner of the intersection (not seen in this photo).
