Car 1821, part of a 25 car order, was built by Canadian Car & Foundry and delivered in early 1925. The car was intended to be the lead car in two car trains using powered cars in the 1675 to 1699 series as trailing cars. These cars spent most of their lives on the heavily used St. Lawrence and St Denis routes. Although signed as a 23 St Denis car, 1821 appears to be on a track in the Youville Shops complex.
