This car is the Market Street Railway parlor car "San Francisco."
It was built by St. Louis in 1901 as San Francisco and San Mateo 61, and became part of United Railways and later the Market St Railway, became part of Muni in 1944 and retired in 1951. The body was acquired by the Western Railway Museum from the San Francisco Maritime Museum in 1980.
