Avenue U is to the right, the houses in the back face Haring Street, and when the car leaves the loop it will turn right onto Nostrand Ave and head for Williamsburg Bridge Plaza. By the time this photo was taken between, I'd say, 1949 and 1951, trolley service across the bridge to Delancey St had been eliminated
