Philadelphia, PA
Philadelphia Transportation Company era
PTC Peter Witt car 8430, turning into Penn St. from Bridge St. at Frankford Depot, was the last to operate on the city portion of route 55 on Friday, June 27, 1952.  It was transferred from Luzerne to Frankford in March, 1953, and began operation on route 3.  On Christmas Day, 1955, it was transferred from Frankford to Ridge when route 3 was moved to that depot for its final rail days and route 5 (a PCC line since 1948) was converted to bus operation.  Both lines thus closed Frankford Depot as a rail division.
