P&W work car No. 446 at 72nd St Shops.

The sliding door was added for utility service. It was removed when the car was restored to its look from passenger service days. The PandW roster compiled by traction historian Ronald DeGraw says 446 was listed as an "emergency car," and was converted to this use in 1928.
