Passengers from Rt 15 could change to the Rt 73 bus to continue journeys to Frankford-Bridge elevated railway terminal. Rt 73 was converted from rail to bus in April 1948. In September 1955, the bus line was extended when the Bridesburg section of Route 15 rail service was abandoned due to a bridge construction project.
