State of the Art Cars (SOAC) on the Broad St Subway at Pattison. This two car train was road tested on Broad Street during the spring of 1975. The train was previously road tested in New York, Boston, Cleveland, and Chicago before its arrival in Philadelphia. Mayor Frank Rizzo said he would order 100 of these cars if SEPTA had the money.
