2801 southbound just south of the Union City border in about to enter New York Ave in Jersey City on the way to Hoboken.
The New York Avenue in Union City (formerly Clinton Avenue) and the New York Avenue in Jersey City, do not line up, thus the need for a one block private right-of-way. The building to the right was a gasoline station.
A present day oddity... New York Avenue, Union City is one way southbound and New York Avenue, Jersey City (at the spot in the picture) is now one way northbound, making it impossible to retrace the trolley route by auto.
