W-27 was one of the last two rail grinders, originally Toronto Civic Railways 2204, taken over by TTC 1921, retired (more or less) in 1926.
It became a scraper car for winters and converted to rail grinder W-27 in 1955, converted further as a second subway rail grinder (RT-7) in 1967.
It is now at the Halton County Radial Railway.
