4010 at Public Square in the later 1940s This car is equipped with a trolley shoe (Ohio Brass J6 I believe) indicating that it was taken after Superior and St Clair were converted to shoes because of rapid wear of trolley wheels on PCCs. The use of 4000s pulling trailers on St.Clair came AFTER PCC cars were introduced on Superior. Prior to this, St Clair had the old 1000s (ten hundreds) pulling 2200 railroad roof trailers (that rained inside long after it stopped outside).
