One of the oldest operating streetcars is ex-Duluth Street Railway 78, built in 1893 by LaClede. It also has the distinction of being retired earlier (1911) than any other streetcar in a museum. It has been restored by the Minnesota Transportation Museum and operates on MTMs line in Excelsior MN and seen here in August 2003
