This center-entrance car, ex-Los Angeles Railway 936, was one of a series of similar cars known as Sowbelly cars, seen here on August 7 2004. It was built by St Louis in 1914 and operated in Los Angeles until it was retired in 1945. These cars were retired earlier than many older cars because they couldn't be rebuilt for one-man operation. 936 was used as a storage shed until 1979 when it was acquired by OERM.
