Ex-Oregon Electric 1001, the Champoeg, was built in 1910 by Niles, seen here on September 3 1995. It was originally a motorized observation car on OE but was sold to Pacific Great Eastern as a locomotive-hauled car in 1934.
On PGE it was renamed "Bridge River" and ran until acquired by the Willamette Valley Electric Railway Association in 1956.
The Western Railway Museum obtained the car in 1974 and has cosmetically restored it. To the left is ex-Key System bridge unit 187 and ex-Central California Traction 7 is pulling the Champoeg.
