1409 on the 5 line at Inglewood. What you might need to know is that there were several phases to the conversion of the LARy cars to LATL standards.
At first, some of the cars that were to be kept in operation, which included all of the 1200, 1300, 1400 and 1500 series, were repainted but kept the Acme Eclipse Fenders.
After the wholesale abandonments that took place on August 3 1947, cars that had been repainted into fruit salad but had retained their Eclipse fenders then had Lifegaurd fenders installed.
This entailed the removal of the Eclipse fenders and the installation of end skirts and the Lifegaurd fender behind them.
This all occurred within a relatively short period of time -- the same car might have had as many as three different appearances within a three year period. It was not their goal to help railfans.
