3125 on a fantrip in 1946. LARy and LATL had sections of portable track which were used for two basic purposes.
One was to allow for temporary crossovers for emergency or short term short turn movements.
The other was used to raise the car wheels over fire hoses laid across the track (they were called hose jumpers) so that service could continue even in the event of a nearby fire.
