3125 on a fantrip in 1946. Somehow this strikes me as Santa Barbara Ave before the track area was paved. Somehow this strikes me as Santa Barbara Ave before the track area was paved.
A PCC operating west on Santa Barbara could go to 54th and Crenshaw (on the 5 line route) and turn east on 54th (the 8 line route) to return to safe (single end car) territory.
McVay suggests that this fantrip was in 1946. It may have been 1947. In any event, it shows the estent to which the Transit Lines would go to allow us to operate over as much track as possible.
