Two-man car on the 3A St Catherine - Monkland route, a long cross-town route running from Walkley and Somerled in west end and to Viau in the east. The route was cut back on the east to Harbour on June 22 1952 and finally replaced by buses on September 2 1956. The eastbound car is facing south on Closse and about to turn east onto St Catherine. Behind the photographer is the 1924-era Montreal Forum where the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL played until March 11 1996 after which they moved to a new arena.
