A car on the 11 Mountain route is at the summit loop atop Mount Royal. It will turn here to go back down the east side of the mountain to the loop at Park Avenue and Avenue Mont Royal. The line was completely on private right-of-way, reaching a height of 670 feet above sea level, and featured a 337-foot tunnel. Today a road follows the streetcar right-of-way. Ironically, it's named after the Montreal Mayor most opposed to any kind of road through the mountain park, the late Camillien Houde. Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed New York City's Central Park, also designed Montreal's Mount Royal Park.
