This is definitely the private
right of way between Brighton Beach and Sea Breeze Avenues. Note
the BMT Standards . It is probably mid day and they are laid up for
the day or weekend. In an optical illusion it looks like the two
el trains in the foreground are on the same track. In actuality,
the Standard is laid up and the train, which appears to be a converted
Brooklyn Union gate car, is actually platformed at Ocean Parkway.
I've never seen a shot of an el car on this portion of the Brighton line,
which just happens to be a portion that is actually an el!
