Brooklyn & Queens
Transit
PCC No. 1004, one of the
few Brooklyn cars to retain headlight wings to the very end, is operating
on the Coney Island Avenue Line and it's entering West Fifth Street on
an unusual route because the track closest to the depot, normally used
by the Coney Island Avenue Line, is out of service.
Also, the lower level elevated
tracks in the background are used by the Brighton Local during summer months
when such locals terminated on Track G at Stillwell Avenue, while Franklin
Avenue Express trains used the upper level and terminated on Tracks C and
D. The Culver Line turns north right beyond the West 8th Street station,
out of sight to the left.
