This car turning East onto
Neptune Avenue. It would then go past 553 Neptune Avenue my old house before
turning right onto the private right of way. The East end of Neptune ended
under the Van Sicklen Station before resuming further West. Triton ran
from West 6th (where the East end Neptune ended) and only ran a couple
of hundred feet until it ended at the Coney Island creek.
The power station that was
at the south end of the private right away is one of the few remaining
original buildings of the Gut as the area between Ocean Parkway and West
8th Street was known. This neighborhood was destroyed by Fred Warbasse
and Trump Sr.
