Shore Line Electric Railway
Car 1, lettered for SLER
successor New Haven & Shore Line Railway, is fresh from the builder
in this photo. Wason built three lightweight cars (1-3) in 1923 for
the NH&SL's abbreviated operations. After trolley operations
ended in 1929, the cars were sold to Alabama Power in Tuscaloosa AL;
when trolley service ended in Tuscaloosa, the cars were sold in early 1942
to Montreal Tramways where they operated until 1958.
