Shore Line Electric Railway
Car 9, one of the original
10 cars (1-10) delivered by Jewett in 1910 to open service on the new Shore
Line Electric Railway. The cars operated on 1200 volts DC, so they
served the Guilford - Saybrook and Saybrook - Chester lines, while suburban
cars 11 and 12 operatred on 600 volts from Guilford to Stony Creek.
