#1, a product of the Cincinnati Car Company at Chevy Chase Lake, Md at its northern terminal.  In 1933, Capital Traction Co and Washington Ry & Electric Co were both merged into the new Capital Transit Co and operated as such until it became DC Transit in 1956.
