Miami
It was 20 years ago, May
20, 1984 to be exact, that Miami Metrorail opened its first segment from
downtown Miami to Dadeland South. About six months later the rest
of the line opened followed by the People Mover, followed by two People
Mover extensions, and recently a short Metrorail extension west to the
Palmetto Expressway.
